Golden West College, Huntington Beach, Calif., has awarded an $18.5 million contract for its New Learning Resources Center to the Los Angeles office of Steinberg Architects. The three-story, 55,000-sf building will integrate a library, student computer center, a reading and writing center, an English and ESL center, an art gallery, and a new media production facility. Construction is slated to begin in July 2007 with completion scheduled for December 2008. A general contractor has not yet been named.
