The BD+C editorial team is currently working on its sixth annual White Paper on Sustainability, and we want your input! The Green Buildings + Climate Change White Paper will examine the impact of buildings on greenhouse gas emissions and what can be done to address the enormous challenge posed by global warming. The White Paper will: • Examine how we got to the present state of affairs, from the AIA COTE to the Brundtland Commission, from “An Inconvenient Truth” to the UN IPCC Report. • Review the many scenarios for change (Architecture 2030, Clinton Climate Initiative, etc.). • Offer a multifaceted Action Plan with positive recommendations that government officials, the AEC industry, environmentalists, and private citizens can act on to meet the challenge of climate change. Please submit your ideas and comments to Robert Cassidy, BD+C Editor-in-Chief. |
