For our November issue, the editors of BD&C will explore “Green Building - The New Wave.” What are the newest best practices in sustainability? The best new green products or systems? What truly innovative concept in green design and construction have you applied in a recent project? What techniques are you finding useful in “selling“ sustainability to clients? How are you applying integrated thinking to the entire project, from feasibility and planning to post-occupancy?
Robert Cassidy, editor-in-chief of Building Design & Construction, moderates an expert panel discussing what's really working in the marketplace. Leading architects, engineers, and designers, in the sustainability field discuss the latest products and technolgoies they're using in their current sustainable and LEED projects.

Paul develops business opportunities while leveraging the energy efficiency and environmental record of Johnson Controls. Paul manages Johnson Controls High Performance Green Buildings business, which includes structures that are designed, built, renovated, operated, or reused in an economical and resource-efficient manner.
Robert Fox, Jr., AIA
Cook+Fox Architects
In 2003, Robert Fox joined with Richard Cook to form "Cook+Fox Architects", a firm devoted to creating environmentally responsible high performance buildings. Winner of the prestigious Urban Visionary Award from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art (2002), Bob's work has been featured in exhibitions and publications internationally.
Erik Olsen
Manager of Green Products, Department of Construction and Permits, City of Chicago
Current projects include implementation of a special permitting process for green buildings and development of a green building code. Erik serves as cochair of the state and local government committee for the U.S. Green Building Council Chicago Chapter, where he focuses on outreach and education for other government officials.
