In response to market demand for increased security in public workplaces, a revolving security portal features integrated metal detection, interlocking doors and weight sensors. After each metal detection alarm, the entire inner cylinder is checked-without operator intervention-to determine whether a weapon or similar metallic object has been intentionally left or hidden within the door's inner cylinder to get later. The portals offer triple-layered bullet-resistant glass in doors and sidewalls as well as bullet-resistant steel wall construction, remote security control console and two-way communication. The unit is ADA-adaptable with transit speeds of 12 to 15 persons per minute.
