Charlotte, N.C., May 12, 2009 … Hendrick Construction has completed an 18,500-square-foot office renovation for Carolina Pad and Paper.
The stationery company relocated its corporate headquarters from Steele Creek Road to Arrowpoint Boulevard. Hendrick began construction in January and finished in April. Carolina Pad moved into its new building May 1.
“This was a challenging second-floor renovation of an occupied office building that had a very tight schedule.” said Tim Pressley, project manager for Hendrick Construction. “Tying into and updating existing systems without disrupting the tenants above and below us presented daily challenges. Clear communication with subcontractors, Hendrick Construction and Beacon Partners was critical.”
The renovation included the installation of various sustainable finishes, such as cork flooring, and a host of other environmentally friendly products, such as carpet tiles and paints with zero volatile organic compounds.
“Hendrick Construction was instrumental to the success of this project,” said Matt Lucarelli, senior construction manager for Beacon Partners, the project’s developer. “They were able to meet an accelerated project schedule with little disruption to the existing operations of the building. Beacon Partners is very pleased with the quality of workmanship and the professional manner in which Hendrick Construction managed this complicated project.”
