St. Luke's Episcopal Health System recently hosted the St. Luke's Sugar Land Hospital's Tree-Topping Ceremony to mark Linbeck's completion of the building's frame. The five-story, 335,000-square-foot facility will include a hospital and a medical office building joined by a rotunda. The Hospital and Medical Plaza will additionally be connected by a shared atrium and walkway from the second floor.
The architect on the project is Page Southerland Page; structural engineers are Haynes Whaley; mechanical engineers are Syska Hennessy; and civil engineers are Cobb Fendley and Associates.
The state-of-the-art facilities, scheduled to open in spring 2008, are located in the Lake Pointe Town Center at the corner of Highway 59 South and Highway 6 in Sugar Land, Texas. Sugar Land is located southwest of Houston in Fort Bend County, one of the fastest-growing counties in the United States.
