Scheduled for completion for student move-in by fall 2018, a new four-story residence hall at Blinn College has recently broken ground in Brenham, Texas. In 2016, over 400 Blinn College students were put on the campus housing wait list. The new residence hall will help alleviate the stress on the school’s campus housing system.

The facility, located at the corner of Seager Street and Old Mill Road, will offer 464 suite-style beds and 9,000-sf of common space. Study spaces, an outdoor courtyard, and a large engineering classroom will all be included.

Each of the suite-style units will have their own bathroom. Two bedroom suites will have one bathroom while four-bedroom suites will be equipped with two bathrooms.

The project began construction on June 1, 2017 and is valued at $34 million. Kirksey Architecture designed the project and Moss & Associates is the general contractor. Servitas is the project’s developer.
