Orange County Public Schools’ new Evans High School Replacement designed by SchenkelShultz Architecture, Orlando, and constructed by Williams Co., Orlando, received NAIOP’s “Public Development of the Year” Award for 2011 as recently presented by NAIOP Central Florida.
Designed as the cornerstone of Orlando’s Pine Hills community, the new 21st century 380,570-sf school features three 3-story classroom buildings that are centered around small learning communities with 2,400 student stations.
The school’s media center, gymnasium and auditorium were specially designed to accommodate after-hour community use and are located along the campus’s perimeter with easy access to parking. BD+C
