Valencia College at Lake Nona’s innovative new $21.7 million Academic Building designed by SchenkelShultz Architecture achieved the 3 Green Globes certification presented by The Green Building Initiative. Opened in August as the satellite campus’s first building, the 88,821-sf project includes a state-of-the-art academic building and central energy plant that incorporated sustainable design standards.
Featuring the latest technologies, the three-story, academic facility includes academic spaces and teaching laboratories, student services, a book store, library, café, a Dean’s suite and administrative offices. +

Lauderdale and greater Miami, the development will include 36,000 sf of restaurants and retail space. The development will also provide 1.1 million sf of access controlled onsite parking with 2,650 parking spaces.
