A 242-foot-high wind turbine, a rooftop PV array, and natural gas-powered cogeneration turbines are among the advanced energy features that helped earn LEED Gold certification for the new cadet residence hall at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, in the Cape Cod town of Bourne. The Building Team consisted of designer Prellwitz Chilinski Associates, Cambridge; contractor Erland Construction, Burlington; and the Massachusetts State College Building Authority.
