The American Society of Civil Engineers recently updated the standard for tensile membrane structures.
This new edition updates the previous Standard ASCE/SEI 55-10, and replaces Standard ASCE 17-96, Air-Supported Structures. Now, the guidelines for conventional tensile membrane structures and frame-covered membrane structures are combined in a single standard.
“A valuable reference for both engineers and practitioners, Tensile Membrane Structures will aid in the design or construction of a wide variety of tensioned fabric structures,” ASCE says.
