Women in Residential + Commercial Construction (WIR+CC) unites two long-standing women in construction conferences: Women in Design+Construction, hosted by Building Design+Construction, and Women in Residential Construction, hosted by Pro Builder and Pro Remodeler. Since 2015, these three media brands have hosted 15 women in construction leadership conferences, attracting more than 2,500 construction and design industry professionals.
WIR+CC is a national conference that brings together women leaders from all facets of the $1.4 trillion U.S. residential and commercial constructing sector — architecture, design, commercial construction, engineering, real estate development, home building, and remodeling.
The 2023 WIR+CC event will take place October 25-27 in Nashville, Tenn., and will bring together more than 300 women leaders. The event will feature keynote talks, workshops, roundtable sessions, interactive panel discussions, networking events, and plenty of fun.
The event organizers are now accepting speaker proposals for the 2023 Women in Residential + Commercial Construction Conference.

Section Eight Design wins 2009 Open Architecture Challenge for classroom design
Victor, Idaho-based Section Eight Design beat out seven other finalists to win the 2009 Open Architecture Challenge: Classroom, spearheaded by the Open Architecture Network. Section Eight partnered with Teton Valley Community School (TVCS) in Victor to design the classroom of the future. Currently based out of a remodeled house, students at Teton Valley Community School are now one step closer to getting a real classroom.
