Cuningham Group’s Alpensia Resort chosen for 2018 Winter Olympics

Cuningham Group Architecture’s Alpensia Resort in Pyeonchang, South Korea, will host the Olympic Village and sports venues for the 2018 Winter Olympics. Opened in 2009, the resort was planned and designed by Cuningham Group and is located in Korea’s Gangwon-do province.

Inspired by Alpine villages, the resort comprises shops, restaurants and entertainment promenades. A grand piazza and five-star hotel provide the ideal setting for Olympic activities.
