Duro-Last Roofing, Inc. Adds Standing Seam Metal Product Line

February 3, 2011

Saginaw, Michigan – February 3, 2011 – Duro-Last Roofing, Inc. is adding a standing seam metal product line to its roofing system offerings. With five profiles and more than thirty colors to choose from, the new line will enable authorized Duro-Last contractors to provide a standing seam roofing installation to meet virtually any aesthetic requirements. The new standing seam program includes metal production capabilities provided by a nationwide network of independent regional manufacturers. All panels will be produced under the authority of Duro-Last division Exceptional Metals.

Depending on the installation location, roof panels will be produced at Exceptional Metals’ Saginaw, Michigan, facility or by one of the regional manufacturers.

“Our standing seam capability provides a strong step forward with respect to the product portfolio our contractors can sell,” said Steve Ruth, Duro-Last Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We founded Exceptional Metals several years ago to manufacture edge details and other roofing components, and always had the vision of offering standing seam panels. Our established, nationwide contractor base combined with local on-demand metal roofing production capabilities will provide great sales opportunities.”

Profiles will be available for architectural, structural, and flush wall/soffit panel standing seam applications. Paint and substrate warranties of 25 years and 35 years are available for panels, depending on the substrate metal they are made from and the finish that is applied.

With corporate headquarters and a manufacturing facility in Saginaw, Michigan and other locations in Grants Pass, Oregon; Jackson, Mississippi; and Sigourney, Iowa, Duro-Last Roofing, Inc. is the manufacturer of the “World’s Best Roof”. Since 1978, Duro-Last has produced a custom-fabricated, thermoplastic single-ply roofingsystem that is ideal for any flat or low-sloped commercial or industrial building. The next generation of thermal glazing: How improving U-value can yield energy savings and reduce carbon emissions

The standards for energy-efficient construction and design have been raised. Due to the development of advanced low-e coatings for the interior surface and vacuum insulating technologies, architects now have more choices to improve U-values wherever enhanced thermal performance is needed to create eco-friendly spaces. These options can double or even triple thermal performance, resulting in annual energy savings and a positive return on carbon.
