GAF to relocate corporate HQ to Parsippany, N.J.

Modern office will accommodate growth, says President/CEO Bob Tafaro.

November 26, 2013

WAYNE, NJ  - GAF, North America’s largest roofing manufacturer, plans to relocate its corporate headquarters to Parsippany, N.J. once renovations are completed on a building at 1 Campus Drive.  GAF’s approximately 600 employees and contractors working at the company’s current headquarters in Wayne are expected to transfer to the new location.

For more than 30 years, GAF has been based at a 99-acre campus in Wayne, sharing space with its affiliated companies.  Ashland Inc., which acquired International Specialty Products in 2011, announced earlier this year that it would relocate its employees from the GAF campus to other locations in New Jersey.

“Our offices in Wayne, as well as this community, have been terrific for us for many years, and leaving here will be difficult,” said GAF President and CEO Bob Tafaro.   “However, the building in Parsippany offers us a modern office with improved work efficiencies which will allow us to continue to improve our services to our customers while providing room for future growth.”

Terms related to GAF’s relocation will not be disclosed. No decision has been made regarding future plans for the Wayne campus.

The next generation of thermal glazing: How improving U-value can yield energy savings and reduce carbon emissions

The standards for energy-efficient construction and design have been raised. Due to the development of advanced low-e coatings for the interior surface and vacuum insulating technologies, architects now have more choices to improve U-values wherever enhanced thermal performance is needed to create eco-friendly spaces. These options can double or even triple thermal performance, resulting in annual energy savings and a positive return on carbon.
