Construction on Antoni Gaudi's masterpiece Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain, began nearly 150 years ago, and was never completed. However, according to The Verge, the iconic church will be finished by architect Jordi Fauli and his team in 2026.

Construction on the cathedral started in 1882. Gaudi passed away in 1926, when the church was only 25% complete. In the years since, nine architects have taken on the project only to later walk away due to project's numerous obstacles.

But Fauli is confident his team will be able to finish the mega project within the next 12 years.

In a newly release video, Fauli describes his team's plans for the structure, which will stand at 566 feet once completed, making it the tallest church in the world.
