Green Existing Buildings to Address Climate Change
Greening existing buildings is a key component in the effort to address climate change. Commercial, institutional, and residential buildings account for 39% of primary energy use, 70% of electricity consumption, and 30% of total greenhouse gas emissions. This webcast will explore LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance, a new version of LEED-EB that promises to have a real impact in addressing climate change.
Our panel of experts will explore what is being done to make it more feasible to green existing buildings, and will offer prescriptive advice for building owners and AEC professionals to help them meet the challenge of climate change by greening existing buildings. This topic drew more than 500 attendees to a session at the recent Greenbuild Conference in Chicago.
