Swiss architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron showed its plans for a renovated Stamford Pitch stadium for Chelsea FC, a London soccer club.

The £500million ($748 million) stadium will have a hollow, ribbed appearance but will use a lot of brickwork. As many as 264 brick piers will line the perimeter of the stadium and extend to a steel ring perched above the field. The brickwork will be placed over the existing stadium, and spaces between the piers and exterior of the building will form concourses.

According to ArchDaily, the stadium will have three tiers, four stands, 60,000 sm of facilities, and room for 60,000 fans.

If the project is passed, it will be completed by 2020.
