All educational sessions offered AIA CES and GBCI credits and focused on sustainable design, building information modeling (BIM), and developments in healthcare, schools and universities. More than 40 sponsors supported the tabletop exhibit area.

“We are pleased with the results of this first-time event,” says Harry Urban, Vice President of Events for SGC Horizon. “Our partners, sponsors and the 160-plus presenters delivered a high-value experience for the attendees.”

“We were able to select the very best conference sessions from among 442 submissions,” adds Robert Cassidy, Editorial Director of Building Design+Construction. “Attendees were extremely engaged in the program content. They asked excellent questions of the presenters and participated actively in the discussions.”

The next BUILDINGChicago/Greening the Heartland Conference is scheduled for September 29-October 1, 2014, at the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza. Attendees and exhibitors are encouraged to visit www.buildingchicagoexpo.com for updates or to contact Harry Urban at hurban@sgcmail.com; 847.954.7928.
