LIVINGSTON, N.J. (February 5, 2009) -- Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers Inc. has been selected to provide project management and interior design services for the
relocation and consolidation of inVentiv Health Inc.'s corporate offices. The company is moving to a new facility at 500 Atrium Drive in the Atrium Corporate Park in the Somerset section of Franklin Township, N. J.
Corporate interiors are a specialty for Livingston, N. J.-based Jarmel Kizel, which is one of the state's largest and most well-established architecture and engineering firms, and is known for providing one-stop shopping for architecture, engineering and interior design services. The inVentiv Health relocation is one of New Jersey's largest headquarters relocation projects in the current market place.
"We are happy to have the depth of knowledge and experience to provide inVentiv Health with design, furniture procurement and construction management services for a project of such size and importance," said Tom Hofmann, associate principal at Jarmel Kizel and director of interiors, who will oversee the project. "The new facility will support the company's ability to work more collaboratively in the delivery of services."
inVentiv Health is a leading provider of commercialization services to the global pharmaceutical and health care industries. The relocation will enable inVentiv Health to consolidate four New Jersey locations, including two on Cottontail Lane in Somerset, which primarily house employees from inVentiv Health, inVentiv Commercial, inVentiv Patient Outcomes and inVentiv Clinical; the offices of The Franklin Group in Somerville, N. J.; and the offices of Strategyx, also in Somerville.
More than 500 employees will occupy the new four-story, 154,035-square-foot facility, which offers more space than the existing locations and creates efficiencies of shared resources among the various operating units of inVentive. The new location will accommodate the company's plans for continued growth, as well as support more efficient operations. inVentiv Health employs more than 7,000 people worldwide and has offices across the globe. In addition to being the headquarters, Somerset is the company's largest location. The company expects to take occupancy in July 2009.
Cushman & Wakefield's Walter Schoenberg, senior director, brokerage services, and Christopher Kinum, executive director of Cushman & Wakefield's Global Life Science Practice, represented inVentiv Health in the transaction, while Jones Lang LaSalle represented Atrium Corporate Park owner LaSalle Investment Management.
Atrium Corporate Park is a four-building complex containing 900,000 square feet of Class A office space located directly off Davidson Avenue in Somerset. It offers an array of amenities including complimentary use of its conference and fitness centers, as well as a full-service hotel and banquet facilities and nearby day care centers, restaurants, hotels and shopping.
