CHICAGO, September 27, 2016 – Join Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture’s Adrian Smith, Gordon Gill, and Robert Forest for a presentation of their work spanning the past 10 years. Hosted by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, the talk will take place at Preston Bradley Hall at the Chicago Cultural Center from 6-8 pm on October 4, 2016.

Since 2006, Chicago-based architecture firm Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture (AS+GG) has designed high-performance, energy-efficient, and sustainable architecture and urban design on an international scale. AS+GG is currently working on projects in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, China, India, South Korea, Malaysia, Canada, and the United States. Founded by partners Adrian Smith, Gordon Gill, and Robert Forest, today there are 80 employees in offices in Chicago and Beijing. For more information, please visit http://smithgill.com.

In celebration of the firm’s 10th anniversary AS+GG partners Adrian Smith, Gordon Gill, and Robert Forest will present “AS+GG at Ten,” a lecture marking their most significant past and present projects.

The lecture will take place at Preston Bradley Hall at the Chicago Cultural Center from 6-8 pm on October 4, 2016. Tickets can be purchased for $10 door or in advance by calling 815-777-4444.

 

ABOUT ADRIAN SMITH 
Adrian Smith, FAIA, is an architect of international renown, having designed many landmark buildings including the two world’s tallest structures – Burj Khalifa completed in 2010 in Dubai, and Kingdom Tower, currently under construction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

ABOUT GORDON GILL 
Gordon Gill, FAIA, is one of the world’s preeminent exponents of performance-based architecture. Gill’s designs share a keen awareness of local environmental conditions, capitalizing on site-specific features that maximize building performance. His recent designs include Astana Expo 2017 and its sustainable legacy community.

ABOUT ROBERT FOREST
Robert Forest, FAIA, is a recognized authority on the economics of sustainable design and has combined his knowledge of local and international policies, funding sources, and varied economic models to develop a system of best practices for the management of high-performance projects.
