The Americas Region of Lend Lease is proud to announce its participation in Spirit Day. Lend Lease employees throughout the United States and Mexico will be wearing purple on Thursday, October 16th in support of Spirit Day.
Millions of people go purple on Spirit Day in solidarity against bullying and to show their support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth. Observed annually since 2010, individuals, schools, organizations, corporations, and public figures wear purple, which symbolizes 'spirit' on the rainbow flag.
“At Lend Lease our vision is to create the best places and to do that Lend Lease has to be the best place to work for all,” said James Stawniczy, Head of Sustainability and Chairman of the LGBTIA Employee Resource Group. “We will remain diligent and proactive as we continue to implement programs to foster our diversity within the region and participating in Spirit Day is one example of Lend Lease’s commitment to becoming an industry leader in diversity.”Â
