International architecture and design firm Little has appointed Carolyn Rickard-Brideau as its new Corporate President, and Charles Todd as its Chief Operating Officer.
Working together, Carol and Charles will lead Little’s 400+ professionals, across six offices, to advance the firm’s mission and values, execute the firm’s long-term strategic plan and cultivate a culture where employees can continue to build a career they are proud of.
John Komisin, current Chairman and former President and COO of Little, and Phil Kuttner, CEO of Little, will oversee this transition. “Every time we’ve gone through a transition of leadership, the firm becomes a stronger, more relevant, more competitive and better place to work. Carol and Charles, who are both great collaborators, have been with Little for over 22 years and they embody the leadership that Little needs to take this next step in our evolution,” said Phil Kuttner.

With over 35 years in practice, Carol has most recently served as Little’s Global Workplace Practice Leader. Carol is a leader for the firm in the intersection between architecture and human neurobiology and the WELL Building Standard. She has a passion for salutogenic design and its impact on human wellness, happiness and productivity.
A guest critic and lecturer at design schools, Carol has been published both nationally and internationally and is frequently a featured presenter at national conferences. She received her Bachelor degree from The Catholic University of America, her Master of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech
Charles Todd, AIA, NCARB
With over 23 years of experience, Charles has most recently served as President of Little’s Washington, DC office. He was responsible for the development of market sectors as well as hiring, developing and mentoring extraordinary multi-disciplinary talent to ensure that Little’s clients experience the full force of the most innovative expertise in the industry.
Charles is unrelenting in his quest to deliver unmatched customer service and to create functional designs that meet the operational and business needs of every client. He received his Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
