Massachusetts office complex uses BIM, earns LEED Gold

By Leslie Streicher, Associate Editor | July 5, 2011

Margulies Perruzzi Architects utilized BIM to coordinate the design and construction phases for the Wyman Street corporate complex in Waltham, Mass. The 335,000-sf project earned LEED Gold. The firm’s use of BIM in coordinating the project’s steel superstructure, its MEP layout (across two buildings), and its curved metal and terra cotta façade helped the Building Team of Columbia Construction (developer) and Hobbs Brook Management (owner) solve problems before anything was fabricated and helped bring the project in under budget.
