Nanotechnology will revolutionize construction industry, experts say

Nanotechnology, some experts say, is set to revolutionize the construction industry, which focuses on developing and overhauling society’s infrastructures.

Carbon nanotubes—hollow cylinders of carbon—are bolstering concrete while simultaneously making it more sustainable. Additionally, white-pigmented titanium dioxide provides walls and windows with a self-cleaning surface—the particles repel airborne soot—improving the appearance of buildings.
