CertainTeed Gypsum launches two new revolutionary drywall compounds that significantly reduce the amount of dust traditionally associated with finishing gypsum walls and ceilings. The products—Dust Away Reduced Airborne Dust Drywall Compound and Renovation Mud—join CertainTeed’s Easi-Fil and ProRoc brands of finishing products currently available throughout Canada.
Using an innovative formula, enhanced with dust reduction technology from 3M, Dust Away Drywall Compound reduces the amount of airborne dust generated through sanding by more than 70 percent compared to standard drywall compound. The dust clumps and falls to the ground when sanded, making clean-up faster and easier for professional applicators and do-it-yourselfers alike. The all-purpose ready-mix drywall compound is suitable for taping and finishing wallboard joints, corner trims and fastener heads.
For consumers looking for a high quality finish while creating significantly less airborne dust, Easi-Fil Dust Away Drywall Compound is available at building material retailers across Canada in convenient 2-litre, 4.5-litre and 12-litre pail sizes. ProRoc Dust Away Renovation Mud is a professional grade drywall compound available in a 13.5-litre carton size. Renovation Mud is ideal for remodeling and repair projects that require less airborne dust for a cleaner work environment.
