The City of North Miami and Miami-Dade County Public Schools have broken ground on the 165,000-sf North Miami Senior High School on a 4.5-acre site in North Miami, Fla. Designed by local architect Arquitectonica, the multi-story facility will have two primary volumes, each representing a different side of learning. The white, rectangular portion of the building will contain traditional classrooms and labs, while the front of the facility will house the public and creative spaces, including a theater and a state-of-the-art media center. Pavarini Construction, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., is building the school.
