The City Creek Center in Salt Lake City, Utah recently held a grand opening where Sachse Construction, a Birmingham, Mich.-based commercial construction company, handled tenant coordination activities and landlord construction.
Sachse was hired to complete store build-outs at City Creek Center.
The City Creek Center is a $1.5 billion mixed-use development in downtown Salt Lake City. The center will have more than 760,000 sf of retail and restaurant space, an 11-kitchen food court, 12,000-sf Deseret Book store, 1.2 million sf of office space, 700 residential units, newly renovated 510-room Marriott Hotel and 50,000-sf Harmon’s Gourmet Grocery. More construction firms likely to perform stimulus-funded work in 2010 as funding expands beyond transportation programs
Stimulus funded infrastructure projects are saving and creating more direct construction jobs than initially estimated, according to a new analysis of federal data released today by the Associated General Contractors of America. The analysis also found that more contractors are likely to perform stimulus funded work this year as work starts on many of the non-transportation projects funded in the initial package.
