May 2009— Rhonda Rasmussen has been promoted to vice president and firm-wide director of interior design. In her new role, she will be the service line leader for interiors across WATG’s six offices worldwide.
Rasmussen has more than 25 years of interior design and hospitality experience. Her international background has given her the ability to assist hospitality clients with the creation of world-class hotels and resorts of all sizes. Her design capabilities and experience extend to project direction and management, client and consultant presentations, design and detail drawings, product and finish specifications, FF&E selections, construction administration and value engineering.
Earning a bachelor of interior architecture degree from the University of Oregon in 1984, Rasmussen then embarked on an international career, working on projects in London, China, Malaysia, Japan, the Caribbean and throughout the United States. Rasmussen's most recent projects include the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village Wellness Center and Spa in California; the Quinta do Lorde Resort and Marina, a mixed-use resort which includes a hotel, timeshare, resort villas and spa in Portugal; St. Regis Princeville renovation on Kauai and two resort hotels in Costa Rica.
