New renderings have been released of OMA's Park Grove Condos, with significant changes made to the competition-winning design of the towers, according to according to designboom.
Initially, the design included six slim towers to be set on the Miami shoreline, but the cylinders have been nudged into pairs to form three larger towers.
In the new renderings, the towers are shown in their Coconut Grove context, surrounded by a large park and by the shore. Full-height glass curtain walls and balconies will allow tenants to take in ocean views.
OMA Principal Shohei Shigematsu is responsible for primary oversight of the development; William Sofield is in charge of the units' interiors, and Enzo Enea will provide the landscape scheme. Recently, it was announced that Spanish public artist Jaume Plensa will provide a site specific installation to be featured in the complex, according to designboom.
Current plans forecast two 20-story, 72-unit buildings, and a third 20-story, 140-unit tower. The Park Grove Condos are expected to break ground in 2015.
