AUGUST 7, 2012--Charles Pankow Builders, Ltd. (Pankow) named Kim Lum as chief executive officer in addition to his role as president.
Lum, a 32-year veteran of Pankow, replaces Richard M. Kunnath, who has served as CEO for the past 12 years and will remain as Pankow’s executive chairman of the board.
Lum joined Pankow in 1980 in Hawaii and has held leadership roles in Pankow’s Honolulu and Northern California regional offices and was appointed president of the firm in 2009. A recognized expert and educator in alternative project delivery, Lum serves on the national board of the Design Build Institute of America and is a member of the board of the California Center for Construction Education. He holds a bachelor of science in Civil Engineering from Stanford University. +
