TCA Architects specified Lewis Rigid Stone Polymer floating plank and Lewis Gold 100% Solution-Dyed high-performance fiber carpet for Harvest in Tracy, a 304-unit apartment community in Tracy, Calif.
The design firm, with offices in Los Angeles, Oakland, and Irvine, used the flooring systems from Engineered Floors throughout the gated, smoke-free community. Harvest in Tracy offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments with in-home features that include full-size washer-dryer combinations and private garages. The units are WiFi ready and pet friendly, with a dog park and spa. An ACE transit station is a 10-minute drive from the community.
Harvest in Tracy was built by Johnstone Moyer, headquartered in San Carlos, Calif. and is owned and managed by Lewis Apartment Communities.
LEWIS GOLD: 'THE COLOR IS BUILT INTO THE FIBER'
Lewis Gold is a 100% solution-dyed high-performance fiber carpet that uses Engineered Floors' PureColor Solution Dyed High Performance Fiber. "The color is built into the fiber," said Mike Gamble, National Director of Business Development for Engineered Floors. "It will not fade, stain, or discolor."
Lewis Gold has a 3.5+ PAR durability rating and a 4.25 Twist for high durability. PureColor will not show shading, side match, or color variation from samples.
In terms of sustainability, the Engineered Floors manufacturing uses 30% less energy and 87% less water and produces 42% less greenhouse gas emissions than traditional carpet manufacturing.

LEWIS RIGID: MICRO-BEAD TECHNOLOGY ENHANCES DURABILITY
Lewis Rigid is a 100%-waterproof Stone Rigid Core Flooring. It has a UV-cured urethane wear layer with ceramic micro-bead technolgy that makes it extremely durable.
Its high-density polymer core hides subfloor imperfections and resists indentations. Additional specifications:
