300 Grant Avenue, a 70.000-sf mixed-use project, has been completed, making it the first new ground-up development in San Francisco’s Union Square in over 20 years. The project includes approximately 28,100 sf of retail and 41,500 sf of Class A office space.

The project sits within the historic Kearny/Market/Mason/Sutter Conservation district and is inspired and defined by classical proportions and modern detailing.

The six-story building features three levels of boutique office spaces above three floors of high-street retail spaces. Interior spaces are flooded with abundant natural light thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows. Horizontal scrim with a terra cotta finish wraps the top four floors to provide a sense of privacy and sunlight diffusion.

A formerly underutilized side alley was transformed into a publicly-accessible parklet, complete with permanent and temporary seating and a wind-generated public art component, to meld the public areas with the private tenant spaces.
