BTU-Block Board materials are designed for use as back up insulation for high temperature applications in Non-Ferrous metals, steel processing, chemical processing, power generation, passive fire protection, as well as commercial appliances and heaters.
The blocks provides ultra-low thermal properties throughout the entire temperature range and when used as a part of an insulation lining, they reduce energy waste, temperature variability, insulation thickness, and cold face temperature.
The block includes a blend of raw materials to produce an insulation material with a low thermal conductivity. The microporous insulation is based on ultra-fine particles of fumed silica, metal oxides, and reinforcement fibers. These particles and fibers create a structure that limits air convection, heat conduction and radiation transmission.
