The Colorado Rockies get into the sports-anchored development game

The project is currently under construction across the street from Coors Field.

The Colorado Rockies plans for a mixed-use development across the street from their home ballpark of Coors Field are currently underway.

Dubbed McGregor Square after the Rockies’ late President Keli S. McGregor, who died unexpectedly on April 20, 2010, the development will comprise 655,000 sf of residential and commercial construction meant will complement Coors Field and provide a year-round destination. The project will include three separate buildings that surround a 29,000-sf open content plaza.

 

 

The buildings will house 112 private residences, a 176-room hotel, restaurants, retail stores, commercial office space, and multiple entertainment spaces. The project is slated to open on Jan. 2021.
